Why I do what I do
With all of my clients, my aim is to help them to perform to the best of their ability and to enjoy it in the process. Developing a strong relationship and watching them reach their goals is what really appeals to me. My interest in sport psychology originated from my underage rugby days in Crosshaven RFC when I struggled to understand how we consistently lost tight games one season. Working collaboratively with my clients to discover and understand the ‘why’ behind things like this is what really interests me about my job.

I have worked with SportStrata, a New York based sport psychology company as part of an internship. I have conducted research in high-level sport, military aviation, virtual reality and youth sport. My consultancy work has involved 1-to-1 support, team workshops, coach contact, training presence, matchday presence and psychological testing.
Personal

Outside of my work, sport plays a big role in my life. I have played All-Ireland League rugby with Dolphin RFC and currently play squash with Highfield Squash Club. I have competed in numerous endurance events. I also enjoy running, kayaking, hiking, cycling, and soccer. My personal experience in sport gives me a strong understanding of team dynamics and the athlete experience – the pressures, emotions, good days and bad days. I love to travel and have spent time living and working in New Zealand, Greece and USA. It's always interesting to learn about how different cultures treat sport.
Currently based in Cork, I’m open to traveling to new places to learn and see how I can apply what I know about sport psychology.
